What are AdvancePay Incentives?
AdvancePay Incentives let you reward customers for purchasing an AdvancePay credit directly from your price sheetâno separate Offer required.
Instead of creating and attaching a standalone Offer alongside your AP credit sheet, you configure the incentive once, on the price sheet, and assign it to any job that uses that sheet.
Multiple incentives can be configured per price sheet; at the job level, you will choose which one (if any) will be used for the job.
The AdvancePay purchase itself is the trigger. There's no offer code for the customer to enter or lose track of. As soon as a customer buys an AdvancePay credit on a job with an incentive attached, the reward is theirs automatically!
What types of incentives can I offer?
You can create up to 4 incentives per price sheet. These are the 3 types of incentives available:
Free Product â give away a specific a la carte product (packages, digital bundles, and Download All can't be used as the free item). You'll need to require a minimum purchase amount before the free product is granted. A free product can be redeemed for each credit that is purchased.
Discount Download All â a percent or fixed dollar discount applied to your Download All product.
Free Shipping â free shipping on the customer's order, with an optional minimum purchase amount.
How do I set up an incentive?
Go to Store > Price Sheets and open the price sheet you want to add an incentive to.
Click into the AdvancePay Incentives section and select + Add AdvancePay Incentive.
Choose your incentive type: Free Product, Discount Download All, or Free Shipping.
Fill in the details for that type (product, discount amount, minimum purchase, etc.).
Review the summary screen and save. Your incentive now appears as a card in the AdvancePay Incentives section.
How to assign an incentive to a job
Once an incentive is configured on a price sheet, you choose which one (if any) applies to a specific job:
Go to the job's Settings > Store > AdvancePay Credits tab.
Select the incentive you want to apply from the dropdown. Only active incentives from the job's assigned price sheet will show up here.
A job can have an AdvancePay Incentive or an AdvancePay Offer, but not both at the same time.
Heads up: If you change the price sheet attached to a job that already has an incentive assigned, the incentive is cleared, and you'll need to re-select one from the new price sheet.
What do my customers see?
Wherever AdvancePay Offer messaging used to appear, customers now see AdvancePay Incentive messaging insteadâwith no offer code involved:
Pre-registration and AdvancePay purchase pages
The AdvancePay confirmation screen, which includes a "What Happens Next" section
Marketing flyers and SMS/email communications
The Deals page and cart, where an "AdvancePay Offer" badge shows on qualifying items
Free products are added to the customer's cart automatically once they qualify. Each AdvancePay purchase is good for one redemption, tied to the specific subject and job it was purchased for.
How to delete an AdvancePay Incentive
If a price sheet incentive is attached to any published, presale, or scheduled-to-publish jobs, you'll see a warning before you can delete it, since removing it will affect those live jobs. Similarly, if you try to delete a product that's being used as a Free Product incentive, you'll be warned that it's in use.
FAQs
How is this different from an AdvancePay Offer?
Offers are standalone objects that can be shared or applied outside of an AdvancePay purchase, and are limited to free shipping or an order discount. Incentives live on the price sheet itself, only apply in the context of an AdvancePay purchase, and support a wider range of reward types, including a free product.
Can I use both an AdvancePay Offer and an AdvancePay Incentive on the same job?
No. A job can only have one or the other active at a time.
Can I offer a package or Download All as the free product?
No â Free Product incentives are limited to a la carte products only.
What happens if a customer purchases more than one AdvancePay credit?
Each AdvancePay credit purchased earns its own incentive redemption.
How many incentives can I have on one price sheet?
Up to 4 active incentives per price sheet.
